Australia China Friendship Society Queensland 2023 AGM and Lunch

Members: For members, and those who wish to become members, AGM registration is at 11:00am for 11:30am start. The AGM will go for one hour.

Non-members: Non-members are invited to become members to participate in the AGM, or can join us for lunch to welcome in the new committee at 12:30pm.

Presentation: Australian Sinologist Professor Colin Mackerras will be presenting on "Why the Australia-China Friendship Society Matters".

Lunch cost: $36 per person (full banquet). (Free for Life Members)

This can be paid by cash or card on the day, or Direct Deposit to ACFS Qld Inc - BSB 064155, Account 00090117.

There is no cost for those who are just attending the AGM.

• both the AGM and lunch,
• just the AGM, or
• just the lunch.

Please ensure you are a financial member prior to the AGM so you are able to vote. To become a member, or renew your membership, please choose one of the following options:

Apply online: Fill out the online membership form here and transfer payment to the account on the form; OR

Apply in person just before the AGM: We will provide membership forms to complete at 11:00am on the day of the AGM. You can pay using cash or card at this time; OR

Post your membership form: Print this membership form and post it along with your payment to PO Box 3063, Newmarket QLD 4051.

Nominations: All nominees, proposers and seconders must also be Financial Members. Financial members can nominate other financial members for the following positions.

• President
• Secretary
• Vice President
• Treasurer
• Committee Members (multiple)

Nomination forms must be received 2 weeks prior to the AGM (by 5th March, 2023) by email (completed forms scanned and emailed back to acfsqld@gmail.com), or posted to the Australia-China Friendship Society Queensland, PO Box 3063, Newmarket QLD 4051.

We will be electing the following positions from the floor:

• Director for National meetings
• ACFS Queensland Patron

Proxy votes: If a financial member is unable to attend the AGM, another financial member can be nominated to vote on their behalf. This Proxy form will need to be filled out and returned at least 24 hours prior to the AGM.
